Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for an embedded software engineer with a great interest in Linux embedded systems development based on Yocto project, software evolution, product development and agile processes to join our team.

Competence and experience

The person we are looking for has:
  • An academic degree within engineering or computer science as a foundation for knowledge in the fields of ARM- and x86-based systems, microcontrollers, and electrical and digital systems design
  • Working experience within embedded systems development or an educational profile towards embedded systems
  • Interest in Linux system development using Yocto project, including bootloader, kernel, device drivers and application library development
  • Effective communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
  • An ability to work independently with tasks and in project teams

  • Product development, test-driven development, requirements management, verification and validation, test automation systems

CrossControl is developing and maintaining a Yocto project -based advanced Linux platform for industrial displays and controllers, based on a variety of ARM and x86 architectures, including NXP iMX6 and iMX8 processors as well as newer generation Intel Atom and Core i7 processors. Related to this, we also work with microcontroller applications for internal and external control and I/O, as well as Linux device drivers and API’s for our platforms.
You will be part of our embedded software development team, working in projects where we develop complete industrial display, controller and other embedded device solutions for serial production. In addition, we also evolve the firmware and software in already existing products, and develop and maintain test software for device manufacturing. You will gain visibility to the full product lifecycle, from initial requirements through serial production to maintenance and software evolution phases. The completed products, carrying our product line brand names CCpilot, CrossCore and CrossFire, will meet the toughest conditions out at the field.
