Regional Sales Manager in US

CrossControl is growing. In the last couple of years we have launched a series of new products that are ramping up fast with new customers in e.g. US, Germany, Italy and China. To support further growth we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the North American market.

Objective and expected accomplishments - How can this role make an impact? 

  • This role will be responsible for the growth and development of the CrossControl business in the North America region, backed by a solid Field Application Engineering team in the US and the Product Management, Engineering and Operations teams in Sweden.
  • The role will target  equipment OEMs, System Suppliers and System Integrators active in Agriculture & Forestry, Construction & Mining, Cargo & Material handling and Large engine centric systems (Marine, Powergen) industries
  • As the regional sales/marketing leader you will represent VOC (voice of customer) and effectively communicate back to Product Management to drive strategic decisions on technical and commercial viability of products for the North American region.

Day in the life 

  • Calling on target customer prospects for CrossControl products, developing inroads 
  • Foster relationships with target customer prospects and establish yourself as the face of the brand
  • Develop business opportunities by consultative selling approach and ability to provide preliminary conceptual technical proposals to win customer trust
  • Orchestrate cross-functional team sales effort for viable business opportunities, involving our Field Application Engineers, Product Management, Engineering, Ops and Corporate Mgmt to achieve a many-to-many interface with customers.
  • Demonstrate a strong sales acumen, specifically the ability to close a sale
  • Foster personal achievement and excellence

Skills & Experience 

Required – Must Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree Business or closely related area required and minimum of five (5) years direct industry sales experience (equivalency accepted in lieu of a degree e.g. candidates without a degree that can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years progressive sales experience may be considered).
  • Can demonstrate experience in B2B solution sales/ consultative selling to highly technical counterparts in customer organization
  • Solid understanding of off-highway/industrial vehicle technology in end markets like Agriculture, Construction Equipment and Material handling equipment.
Preferred – Nice to Haves:
  • Experience in selling advanced electronics products with big software content
  • Work experience from selling products/systems into the off-highway/ industrial vehicle OEM markets, established contact network in this industry.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM system or similar.
  • Degree or work experience in Software or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience from working in a global business, awareness of differences in business culture

Team Dynamics

As Regional Sales Manager for the CrossControl Line of Business you work with a cross-functional, global team. In the Sales process you work closely with Field Application Engineering, supporting customers technically, and the Global Product Management and Marketing functions provides you with Sales tools, back-office sales support and deeper technical support when required.
