Territory Sales Manager – US mid-west

CrossControl is growing. In the last couple of years we have launched a series of new products that are ramping up fast with new customers in e.g. US, Germany, Italy and China. To support further growth we are looking for a Territory Sales Manager based in the US mid-west or south-west.

Objectives and expected accomplishments – how can this role make an impact? 

  • We have a passion for developing solutions that make machines smarter, safer and more productive. Our customers are leading vehicle OEM manufacturers and system providers worldwide. Our mission is to provide products and services that contribute to our customer’s success.
  • Objective is to develop the CrossControl business in North America from a currently modest market share
  • Targeting equipment OEMs, System Suppliers and System Integrators active in Agriculture & Forestry, Construction & Mining, Cargo & Material handling and Large engine centric systems (Marine, Powergen) industries
  • The brand is gaining strength in the NA Market place and with the extended product portfolio there is considerable un-tapped potential in the market.
  • As Territory Sales Manager you are leading the charge, backed by a solid team

Day in the life 

  • Generate leads and call on assigned customer accounts and prospect
  • Create and foster relationships with your customers and by selling assigned technology solutions and establish yourself as the face of our brands
  • Listen carefully to customer requirements, articulate and have the ability to provide a preliminary conceptual technical design solution to win customer trust and ultimately the business.
  • Demonstrate a strong sales acumen, specifically the ability to close a sale
  • Deliver accurate monthly forecasting
  • Fosters personal achievement and excellence
  • Represent VOC (voice of customer) and effectively communicate back to Product Management to drive strategic decisions on viability of product lines, profitability reviews, locations, growth opportunities, new markets, talent.
  • Deliver year-over-year profitability improvement for assigned line of business. 

Skills and & Experience 

Required – Must Haves: Bachelor’s degree Business or closely related area required and minimum of four (4) years direct industry sales experience (equivalency accepted in lieu of a degree e.g. candidates without a degree that can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years progressive sales experience may be considered). Experience in selling industrial Motion/Actuation/Control products and systems. Established in-roads to industry associations and sources/connected to the industry.
Preferred – Nice to Haves: Degree or work experience in Software or Electronics, Work experience from similar business, eg. FW Murphy, ifm, STW, HED, Danfoss, Parker. Proficient in salesforce.com CRM system or similar.
