The Smartphone boom seen in the last couple of years drives new expectations on HMI and usability in industrial vehicles. New generations of operators will expect touch screen interaction and top-notch graphical interfaces. The CCpilot XA display computer platform enables vehicle OEMs to meet these expectations.

The platform is based on an ARM11 kernel and high brightness display technology with PCAP touch screen. With the automotive industry as the driver, adapting this kind of technology, components with industrial grade are available. CrossControl now integrate these into a full fledge display controller for industrial vehicle applications.

The CCpilot XA enables integration of controls, diagnostics, video and Fleet Management  functionality in one device, making otherwise separate sub-systems redundant.  With these capabilities, OEMs are able to offer its customers high-value, total machine management systems also for machines that earlier could not carry the cost of such systems.

The CCpilot XA runs Linux with a software framework based on Qt for GUI design. This open software platform enables OEMs to efficiently create a GUI with premium look-and-feel and high usability. The software framework is easily integrated with existing frameworks for controls, e.g. IEC 61131-3-based soft PLCs.
