QuiC Improvements

Category	Release Note
Tool	The LinX Configuration Tool has been renamed to the QuiC Designer Tool, which is now part of the LinX Software Suite.
Data Bar	Set Points can now be bound to signal values.
Copy/Paste	Copy and Paste functionality has been implemented for Scripts, Signals, Conditions, and Screens.
Color Selector	Custom colors can now be defined and saved when opening/closing object editors and the project.
Timers and Delays	Start System Timer and Set Delay scripts can now use signals as timeout values.
Logging	A data and alarm logging feature has been implemented in the QuiC Tool. The user can now configure signals (data and/or alarm) to be logged by the display unit, based on a set of configurable parameters.
Logging	A screen navigation Logging feature has been implemented in the QuiC Tool. The user can use the Copy Screen Log to USB script to create a log file that captures the screen navigation path of the unit.
Logging	Start Logging script added. This script starts logging feature according to its configuration.
Logging	Stop Logging script added. This script stops the logging feature.
Logging	Log Once script added. This script log each configured log signal once when this script is triggered.
Logging	Clear Logs script added. This script deletes all data and alarm log files from the device memory.
Logging	Copy Data Log to USB script added. This script copies all log files from device memory to external USB stick. Data Log files will not be removed from the display memory.
Logging	Copy Screen Log to USB script added. This script screen navigation log entries from device memory to the external USB stick. Screen Log files will not be removed from the display memory.
System Signal	USB Device Attached signal added. This signal will report the presence of a USB device.
System Signal	Logging Status signal added. This signal will report the latest logging and copying process status.
System Signal	Screen Log Status signal added. This signal will report the latest status of copying the log to USB.
System Signal	USB Copy Progress signal added. Signal will report the progress of copying log files to USB drive in percentage.
System Signal	Used Logging Memory signal added. Signal will report usage level of configured logging memory in percentage.
Condition Editor	Users can delete multiple conditions.
Signal Editor	Users can delete multiple signals.
Digital Instrument Editor	The “Disp Digits” field no longer appears on the form. The number of display digits is dependent on the associated signal’s display minimum and maximum values, and the data contained in the signal.

QuiC Known Issues

Editors

Category	Release Note
Condition	Changes in the Condition Editor are being saved when CANCEL button is clicked.
J1939	When using the J1939 Transmit Script, the J1939 message should be configured as a broadcasting message.
J1939	When adding the “Blade Elevation Deviation – Left” signal from database the data range string is not being parsed properly. USERS SHOULD VALIDATE ALL PARSED DATA WHEN ADDING FROM J1939 DATABASE.
J1939	Changes to form are saved on the J1939 TX Editor when cancel button is used.
Other	Blink Bitmap rate is not working properly, it is blinking at different time after some minutes.
Screen	Max screen size is hardcoded and not adjustable.
Signals	Only Diagnostic Signals can be used with alarm logging feature even if all binary type signals are accepted in the Logging Editor.

General Software

Cosmetic	Image of CCpilot VI shown in QuiC does not match the look of the product
Cosmetic	On a desktop with a solid black background the QuiC tool icon may not be visible.
Cosmetic	The DOT that turns RED / GREEN that is shown on the bottom left of the Main Form is not used.
Other	QuiC windows appear as separate programs in the Windows Task Manager.
Conditions	The SKEY comparison cannot be used in a Global Condition if a key is used by a screen. A key used by a screen will take precedence over the SKEY comparison in a Global Condition.

Hardware

Cosmetic

Display unit colors may vary slightly to those shown in the QuiC Tool. Users should validate all colors are acceptable where appropriate on the display units.

Objects

Data Bar	If the tick marks on the data bar are too dense then the spacing is not monotonic.
Data Bar	The data bar has a one pixel width blue line on top.
Data Entry	When setting a default value for GENERAL data entry mode, the default value in character-based signals must contain the number of configured characters for the object.
Digital Instrument	If the needle of a digital instrument passes over a transparent area of the back ground bitmap, artifacts are left in that area.
Gauge	Poly Pointer rendering in the Screen Designer for Gauge Instrument is not correct
Line	Lines which use a pattern, and have a thickness greater than 1, will display as a solid line. Use bitmap in place of line.
Menu	Menu selector may jump when certain items are selected. Adjust the size of the menu selector object to the size of the display text.
Other	Movement issues with container objects.
Other	Object resizing – Line and popup edge dragging problems
Popup	Objects in pop up window are offset slightly (1 pixel) from how they appear in the designer
Rectangle	Rectangle resizing anomalies inside a popup
Text	Wrap has to be enabled for scroll bar to show up in text object.
Text	Selected text in data entry shifts down
Text	The “loss of data” timeout is not working on the Message Text object.
Text	When the Text field contains a large number of characters, the rendering is incredibly slow, making moving the object on the Screen Designer very difficult.

Screen Designer

Copy/Paste	Data Bar and Digital Instruments have no order on the screen when you copy and paste the object.
Copy/Paste	When copying a mix of objects (regular and linked), the paste places the linked object as a new regular object, rather than a screen link.
Other	Snap Grid Visible – button is enabled even when it has no effect on anything.
Popup	The screen designer allows connections from a standard window to a pop up window which may cause errors if executed.
Screen	Where Used screen showing twice.

Signals

All	Bar and millibar units not available.
J1939	QuiC RT Code Disable/Enable keys not an app level function.
J1939	When the display receives a DM from an unknown ECM it shows the Source address of 0xFF and not the actual address of the ECM that the message was received from.
