360° Bird view solution
CrossControl combines a powerful computation platform with an open software stack to provide on-board computing and HMI solutions that meet the needs of a wide spectrum of machines and applications.
CrossControl’s open software platform contains our pre-packaged toolchains for developing applications with powerful and state-of-the-art tools for graphics, controls, and fieldbus networking. With our innovative window management framework, native applications developed in Qt, C/C++, CODESYS, HTML5 etc can be combined to provide a rich HMI experience and deliver advanced functionality. The platform supports OEMs and system suppliers integrating 3rd party solutions.
3D surround view
CrossControl has tested and deployed the 3D Surround View / 360° Bird View solution form TES. Based on the principle of accident avoidance it increases safety and comfort through improved situation awareness. TSV addresses the rising demand for a simple and useful system for automotive, industrial and safety markets. The TSV technology is offered as a software component (Library) that can be integrated with the full HMI solution that can include instrumentation, guidance, or process control.
The TSV Auto Calibration enables a very fast system setup with cameras that can be mounted anywhere on the vehicle.
TSV utilises 3D acceleration and provides a high level of performance and portability while minimizing system resources usage, in particular CPU load.
The solution has been deployed, with solid performance, on both our Extreme and Vision line displays . The powerful integrated GPU in CrossControl displays together with the optimisation of TSV to ensure smooth rendering and high frame rate.
Besides the well-known Top View or Bird View, a single viewing perspective from exactly above the vehicle, TSV supports any viewer position and viewing angle from outside of the vehicle, i.e. full 360° 3D Surround View. The viewing position can be changed on the fly and any number of predefined viewing positions is possible.
The flexible solution can be adapted to create an optimal 360° experience for any vehicle type.
