Within CrossControl’s open modular platform is UX Designer, a pre-packaged toolchain for the development of software applications. In addition to GUI design and backend toolchains it also contains libraries, compilers, debuggers and project wizards for all onboard computers. It gives the possibility to create and deploy premium interfaces and the control needed for embedded application development.

The latest added UI element is a new layer that reflects and refracts the displays graphical elements to bring focus to content or controls. Similar to Apple’s Liquid Glass, it lets designers create UI that appears to float above the rest of the display. It uses real-time rendering and dynamically reacts to touch with specular highlights, creating a lively and adaptable user interface.

CrossControl’s Window Manager allows system adopters to integrate multiple applications within a single HMI with a cutting-edge windowing framework. Aside from modern UX aesthetics, this allows App development independent of toolchains, time schedules and suppliers. It offers several levels of customization such as where to display applications, background color, borders, icons, default views and layouts. If you need to go beyond configurability, you can adapt the provided QML code directly and even replace the whole quick bar with your own designed quick bar. Independent applications can be run directly or withing a container depending on use case and system requirements. Containers, such as docker, enable consistent environments across development, testing, and production. The approach can help with reducing bugs, simplify deployment and help with application isolation ensuring that each application runs with the minimum level of system access enhancing security.
