CrossControl is participating in the iVT Expos in Cologne 28th-29th of June and Chicago August 31st to September 1st. We will showcase our modular technology platform for HMI solutions, powered by the latest ARM and x86 application processors and supporting display sizes 3.5”-14”.
Our showcase includes demonstrations of our open software platform which features a modular architecture built to meet the needs of industrial machines. Through its modular structure, the platform can be used to achieve HMI and machine control functionality as well as advanced operational support features including the coming trends for smart vehicles like machine automation, AI inferred object detection and ADAS.
Dr Markus Wallmyr has been invited to speak at the iVT Conference. Markus’s recent research has been into UX for Industrial Vehicles. For example, when vehicle control functionality expands with tools and features to improve productivity and safety, the HMI user experience becomes even more important to realizing its benefits. Various subsystems often come with different designs and even dedicated HMI devices, something that typically leads to a higher cognitive load on the operator and the risk that perceived features are not leveraged in full, or worse safety warnings missed entirely. His presentation explores approaches for the integration of visual applications of various subsystems in a single multifunctional terminal, and details an HMI system concept with multiple terminals where content can be moved dynamically between physical screens to achieve an ideal layout for each operational mode of the machine. We will also have a booth in the exhibition hall for these two events, offering the chance to get a hands on look at our modular platform and the newest products derived from it.
