CrossControl supports smart farming and agriculture 4.0 by providing a computing platform that supports both advanced graphics and heavy application processing. CrossControl display computers are successfully deployed to host various types of precision functionality, both as factory fit OEM systems and add-on systems. An example of the latter is the SmartCommand terminal from company Reichhardt, a full-fledged ISOBUS terminal portfolio in sizes 7”, 10” and 12”.
CrossControl is now broadening its offering in this area with the CCpilot V1090 and V1290, 10” and 12” integrated display computer products. These devices address the needs of add-on system use cases through support features including ruggedized aluminium enclosures, accessible USB port, integrated speaker for audible signals and fast attach/detach connectors for theft avoidance and ability to swiftly move a terminal between equipment cabs. They come with a rich interface set-up to support CAN and Ethernet network integration as well as integration to earlier generation GNSS receivers over RS232.
This new line is also a very powerful platform for OEM factory fit HMI systems. The CrossControl open software platform and windowing framework opens up avenues for running multiple software systems in parallel. This means that precision functionality, for example ISOBUS & guidance, can run side-by-side with base vehicle process control & instrumentation, vision system, embedded manuals etc. For a multifunctional terminal solution like this system designers can make use of multiple applications and operator may wish to view multiple resources at once. Therefore the CCpilot V1090 and V1290 will have an optional display link interface for a secondary monitor in sizes 7”, 10” or 12” that can provide, communication, power and touch in a single cable.
